What can I use for a grout float?
What Is a Grout Float?
The sponge float with plastic handle is ideal for general cleaning of all types of surfaces, particularly for the cleaning that ceramic tile installers have to carry out after fitting, like grouting.
The high absorption sponge is made of flexible polyester-based polyurethane; its high level of absorption and excellent abrasion resistance make it ideal for cleaning all surfaces, especially the coarsest ones. Its use with acid-based products is not recommended.

How to Apply Grout Using a Grout Float
Choosing and Applying Grout
The first step in tiling is selecting the right grout. There are two primary types: sanded and unsanded. Sanded grout is ideal for wider tile gaps (over 1/8 inch) as it offers superior strength and durability. Unsanded grout is suitable for smaller gaps.
Consider the color of your grout carefully. Dark grout can accentuate the pattern and layout of your tiles, while light grout can create a more cohesive look. However, light grout may show dirt and bacteria more easily, requiring more frequent cleaning.
To apply grout, you'll need these tools:
Grout mixer
Two large sponges
Four large buckets
A hard rubber grout float
By following these tips and using the right tools, you can achieve a beautiful and long-lasting tiled surface.
